Since 2010
The San Antonio Eye Institute opened its doors in January 2010 on Huebner Road. In February 2020, in order to serve more patients, the clinic moved to a larger space on Lockhill-Selma Road. Since then, we have worked to become the best eye clinic in San Antonio. Dr. Jones and Dr. Triana are a husband and wife team with a combined 44 years of clinical ophthalmology experience. Our staff is composed of highly competent and dedicated individuals who are ready to help you take control of your eye health and beauty needs.

Our Doctors are Board-Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Additionally, Dr. Jones Completed a Clinical Fellowship in Glaucoma & Dr. Triana Completed a Research Fellowship in Glaucoma Genetics at the Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, the Harvard Medical School’s Ophthalmology Program (Ranked #4 Best Eye Clinics & Hospitals in the United States by U.S. News & World Reports).
Relief Jones, III, M.D.
Dr. Jones Graduated from Stanford University (with Honors) and the Duke University School of Medicine.
Following This, He Completed an Internship at Tulane University, Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio, and Fellowships at the Harvard Medical School in Glaucoma (Clinical) and Immunology & Transplantation (Research).
Maria Isabel Triana, M.D.
Dr. Triana Completed Her pre- and Medical
Studies, Internship and Residency in Ophthalmology at Javeriana University in Bogota, Colombia. Subsequently, she Practiced There Before Moving to the U.S.
To Practice in the U.S. She Completed an Internship in Internal Medicine and Residency in Ophthalmology at the University of Texas Health Science Center-San Antonio. She Also Completed a Research Fellowship in Glaucoma Genetics at the Harvard Medical School.

Our Staff are Some of the Nicest People You Will Ever Meet and Help Us to Be the Best Eye Clinic in San Antonio. Prior to Working at Our Clinic, They Have Worked in Other Ophthalmology and Optometry Clinics, Dermatology Clinics, and Have Worked with Health Care Providers in the Public School System. We are Blessed to Have Such Positive, Focused, and Dedicated Individuals Working With Us.
Cecilia Grajales
Ceci is originally from Lytle, Texas, and graduated from Lytle ISD. She completed an Associate’s in Accounting from Hallmark College and has been with us since 2018. Prior to joining our clinic, she worked as a High School Receptionist and in Administration for Fredericksburg ISD, and as the Secretary to the Director of Special Education for Lytle ISD. Ceci has lived in San Antonio since 2014 and has been married to her husband, Jorge, since 2015. They have four children: Erick, Ethan, Camilla, and Catalina. In her free time, Ceci enjoys attending her kids' sporting events, baking, horticulture, and spending time outdoors.
Priscilla Casares
Priscilla is originally from Boerne, Texas, and graduated from Boerne High School. She completed the Cosmetology Program at Nuvani Institute and became licensed in 2018. Before transitioning into ophthalmology, she gained diverse medical field experience in Dermatology, Endocrinology, and Family Counseling, and held roles in Sales, Maintenance, and Administration. Priscilla and her husband, Albert, have a daughter named Kiah. In her free time, she enjoys working out, fishing, crafting, traveling, and exploring different sports (she was a high school basketball player). She also loves trying various restaurants, with a particular fondness for seafood, BBQ, Mexican, and Italian cuisine.
Sierra Rodriquez
Sierra is originally from San Angelo, Texas, and graduated from Lakeview High School. She completed the Medical Assistant Program at Howard College and is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s in Science degree from Texas Tech. With 6 years of experience in the medical field, she has worked in various roles, including Patient Coordinator and Medical Technician. Sierra has lived in San Antonio since 2020 and plans to plant roots in the city with her partner of 4 years, Dario. They have two energetic pups, Comet Ollie and Nova Kane. In her free time, Sierra enjoys outdoor adventures and staying active with her dogs at local parks and trails. She also loves game nights and trying new restaurants with Dario.
Lynda Rae Villegas
Lynda is originally from Cheyenne, Wyoming, and graduated from Central High School in San Angelo, Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2017 from The University of Texas at San Antonio. Lynda is also a Certified Nurse Aide and has worked in several geriatric facilities since 2014. As an “Air Force brat,” Lynda has traveled extensively, including to Tokyo, Venice, Manila, and London. She has been with her partner, RJ, for 7 years, and they have a beautiful daughter, Adalee, and two fluffy pups, Cash and Biko. Having lived in San Antonio for 10 years, Lynda enjoys playing video games and watching anime at home in her free time.
